Kashering Process

By arrangement, a mashgiach comes to the bakery to check the eggs, remove a piece of dough for the blessing (the dough is allowed to dry on a shelf) as well as turn the ovens off and on and the burners on (for the boiled bagel).

When to order

Our Kosher lines are produced on a Thursday and Friday morning - so orders need to be placed by 14h00 on Wednesday afternoon.  However, we are able to produce for special occasions in Port Elizabeth.  Please contact Steven on steven@buttercupbakerysa.com to chat about what Kosher products are required and when.  Products can be collected from The Shop in Newton Street, or delivered (outside of Newton Park) for a fee of R40.00.

How to order
